Introduction of Yuantouzhu Scenic Area

Taihu Lake, also known as Zhenze or Juqu, is one of the five major freshwater lakes in China with an area of over 2,400km, and is listed as a key National Scenic Area of China. Yuantouzhu, meaning “turtle-head-shaped peninsular”, is located in the northwest of Taihu National Park of China in Wuxi. As there is a colossal rock protruding into Taihu Lake like a swimming turtle raising its head, hence its name Yuantouzhu. Now it is among the main attractions in Taihu Scenic Area.

Yuantouzhu Scenic Area is a colorful and comprehensive tourist resort that can meet various expectations and feature natural landscapes complemented by artificial decorations. It boasts picturesque natural scenes of extensive mountains, vast waters and scattered sails, idyllic villages, as well as elegant and plain views of gardens typical of Jiangnan regions.
